Meowdoku looks like a cozy, casual game about cats sitting in colorful spaces. But don't let the cute aesthetic fool you. Under the hood, Meowdoku is a compact, highly precise logic puzzle that rewards sharp deduction, careful planning, and clean strategy.

Meowdoku is a grid-based logic puzzle built around cats, colored territories, and strict placement rules.
Your objective is simple: look at a grid divided into various colored zones and figure out exactly where the cats can safely sit. To win, every single cat you place must respect the boundaries of its neighbors, its row, and its column.
The result feels like a gentle, spatial twist on classic Sudoku. Because the shape of the colored regions changes with every level, no two boards ever solve the same way.
You don't need to guess to win a game of Meowdoku. In fact, guessing is the fastest way to lose. Every single puzzle can be solved using pure logic.
If you get stuck, just walk yourself through these four core rules in order:
The board is broken up into distinct, colored territories. Every single colored zone must contain exactly one cat.
Pro-Tip: Start by scanning the board for the smallest regions. A tiny region has fewer available squares, which usually gives you an easy starting point.
Just like in traditional Sudoku, cats need their personal space. Once a cat is placed, no other cat can exist in that same row or column. The moment you drop a cat down, you can immediately eliminate all other cells in its crosshairs.
Cats can’t touch—not even at the corners. A placed cat completely blocks all eight surrounding cells. This diagonal restriction is incredibly powerful because it often creates a domino effect, forcing or eliminating options in neighboring regions.
Meowdoku is designed around deduction. If you place a cat, you should be able to explain why it goes there based on region counts, row/column pressure, or diagonal blocks.
Because Meowdoku tracks your mistakes, understanding the controls is key to keeping your win streak alive.
Double-Tap to Place: Think you found the perfect spot? Double-tap a cell to place a cat. The game will automatically check if the spot violates any row, column, or diagonal rules.
Tap to Remove: Changed your mind? A single tap removes a placed cat so you can test a different line of reasoning.
Mark Suspicious Cells: Don't try to keep everything in your head. Use the marking tool to cross out cells that absolutely cannot hold a cat. Keeping your notes visible makes the deduction path much clearer.
The Hearts System: Watch your step! Wrong placements will cost you hearts. Slow, deliberate marking beats fast, reckless clicking every time.
Undo & Restart: If you make a quick analytical error, the Undo button is your best friend. If your notes get completely tangled up and you lose your train of thought, hit Restart for a fresh, clean board.
What makes Meowdoku so fascinating is the perfect balance between high-level logic and visual simplicity. It strips away the intimidating math feel of traditional number puzzles and replaces it with intuitive, spatial reasoning.
There is an incredibly satisfying "aha!" moment when eliminating a single cell suddenly clears up a massive bottleneck on the other side of the board. It’s the perfect brain workout for a morning coffee break, a quick commute, or a relaxing evening wind-down.
